Muriel Lewis-Harris is the founder and driving force behind Velocity Housing Solutions, bringing over two decades of hands-on expertise in affordable housing, property management, and community development to her mission of providing safe, stable housing for seniors, veterans, and vulnerable adults.

A proud graduate of the University of Missouri–St. Louis, Muriel has built a career that spans some of the most complex areas of housing management — from HUD Section 202 senior housing and LIHTC tax-credit properties to new construction lease-ups and large-scale multifamily communities across Missouri, Hawaii, California, and North Carolina. She has overseen multi-million dollar property portfolios and budgets, consistently delivering strong fiscal performance, high occupancy, and low delinquency rates across diverse asset classes including conventional, affordable, student, and senior housing.

Her experience spans federal compliance including HUD, Section 8, REAC and MOR inspections, and Fair Housing law — giving Velocity Housing Solutions a strong foundation of operational credibility from day one.

Passionate about serving seniors, veterans, and vulnerable adults, Muriel founded Velocity Housing Solutions to expand access to safe, stable, and affordable housing while strengthening communities throughout the St. Louis region. 

Quinton Latimer-Young is a Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker and Commercial Property Manager with over a decade of experience in real estate transactions, asset management, and property operations. With more than $9 million in commercial and residential sales and hands-on management of 300,000 square feet of Class A office space, Quinton brings a sharp eye for real estate strategy, vendor oversight, and financial performance to Velocity Housing Solutions.

As Co-Founder, Quinton's expertise in contract negotiation, zoning and permitting, and market analysis positions Velocity to identify, secure, and sustain quality housing assets for seniors, veterans, and vulnerable adults. He moves with the same velocity the organization demands — getting deals done, cutting costs without cutting corners, and building the operational infrastructure that turns mission into reality.

Shanika N. Williams is a St. Louis-based education equity leader and strategic consultant with over 20 years of experience building accountable, high-performing organizations that serve communities. Currently serving as Director of Charter Schools for the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), she leads statewide initiatives focused on governance, transparency, and capacity building — skills she brings directly to her work with Velocity Housing Solutions, which is dedicated to affordable housing initiatives.

Shanika holds an MBA from the University of Missouri, a Master of Arts in Legal Studies from Webster University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Lane College. She is also a Certified Paralegal through the American Bar Association, lending her a strong understanding of compliance, policy, and legal frameworks that is invaluable to a growing nonprofit organization focused on community development.

Throughout her career, Shanika has secured over $1.6 million in grant funding, managed multi-million dollar program budgets, and achieved 100% audit compliance across multiple organizations. She has a proven track record of building governance systems, leading data-driven decision making, and developing community-centered programs that produce measurable outcomes.

Shanika is a former Board Chair of the Missouri Charter Public School Association and currently serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in St. Louis — reflecting her deep, personal commitment to protecting vulnerable individuals. She joins the Velocity Housing Solutions board as one of its dedicated board members, with a passion for ensuring that seniors, veterans, and vulnerable adults in our community have access to safe, stable, and dignified housing.

Anthony Alston Jr. is a U.S. Army veteran with over nine years of military service, including active duty deployment during Operation Iraqi Freedom III-IV. A Signal Support Specialist with the North Carolina National Guard and Georgia Army Reserve, Anthony earned multiple military honors including the Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, and was honorably discharged.

Since returning from service, Anthony has built an extensive career in safety, security, and community protection — spanning armed security, executive protection, risk management, and fugitive recovery. His background reflects a deep commitment to keeping people safe and serving his community.

Anthony brings firsthand knowledge of the challenges faced by veterans transitioning to civilian life, making him a passionate advocate for stable, dignified housing for veterans, seniors, and vulnerable adults. His military discipline, leadership experience, and dedication to service make him a vital voice on the board of Velocity Housing Solutions.
